General FAQ

How long have you been in business?

I started with weigandtStudios in 2006 by creating weddding videos, in 2011 I made the switch to professional photography.

How many pictures do you take per photo session?

Depending on the shooting: Family, Maternity and Engagments between 45-70, Seniors and Beauty Sessions between 60-90 pictures. On a typical wedding I produce between 70-100 edited images per hour.

Are all images edited?

Yes, I produce fully edited JPG images from any shooting for you.

What gear are you using?

I use professional Canon gear.

What happens if you become ill on the day of shooting?

Engagment, Family and Senior pictures will most likely be rescheduled. If I wont be able to show up to the wedding I will have a photographer, hired by me, that matches my shooting style to shoot instead of me. I still will be the one editing and delivering the images to you.

Do I have to pay extra for the USB Stick and what does it contain?

Yes, but the purchase of the USB Stick is optional, in case of a wedding the USB Stick is always included if the wedding is at least 8 hours long. It usually contains all pictures from the shooting unless specified otherwise.

What can I use the print credit for?

The Print credit can be used to purchase prints, digital files or to pay portion of the USB Stick. It also can be used as payment for the next shooting.

Can I redeem the print credit for cash?

No, the print credit is not redeemable for cash.

How do I receive the print credit?

Usually as credit in my onlinestore when ordering prints. However, if you decide not to use the print credit I will give you a giftcard in the amount of the credit. Please note that this giftcard expires within one year.

How long do I have to wait until I can see the images?

Family, Engagement etc usually 4 weeks, Weddings between 6-8 weeks.

Do you speak any foreign language?

Yes, I am trilingual. I speak German and Russian in addtion to English.

Are you shooting in a studio or outdoor?

I'm a natural light photographer and love working with the light nature nature provides. Because I am heavily relying on the sunlight, scheduling and being on-time is really important, the sun doesn't wait. In some rar cases I shoot in a rented studio.

Do you have a back up camera in case something happens to your main camera?

Yes, I do.

Do you deliver the RAW files?

In general I do not. In very rar cases I deliver RAW for Comercial/Non Profits.

Do we get a print release?

Yes, with every purchase of digital files - eiter seperate or on a USB Stick. The copyright remains with me which means I will be able to advertise with images that I took.

What is the difference between the print release and the copyright release?

Print release: It allows you to print the pictures for personal use while preserving my rights as the photographer.

Copyright relase: It transfers the copyright from the photographer to the client. After this release the photographer no longer owns the images and can't use them without the clients permission.

I don't want my images to be uploaded in Facebook or any website, what can I do?

If you dont like to see your images used for marketing purpose in online networks or print magazines then talk to me before the shooting. I honor oral agreements with my clients and won't use the pictures if asked, even though the copyright belongs to me.

Around what time do you usually have your photo sessions?

I usually start a photo session around 2h before sunset. Depending the the season the times vary from 3:30 PM to 7PM.
